Much to the level of some of the more crazier conspiracies, the latest pseudo-debunker conspiracy goes like this – that the United States oversight committees for defense and intelligence have been fooled by UFO Activists including Luis Elizondo and Christopher Mellon into believing in ‘Space-Aliens’.
Somehow this is a real thing in people’s minds. They believe it so badly that they are even working as ‘anti-disclosure’ activists. Unbelievably, they post tweets, write articles and create hit-pieces against those who have got the issue into Congress. I won’t say their names, you know who they are and by now you probably know their thinly veiled intentions. Much like the Q-Anon believers who stormed the Capitol Building in 2021, it is thought certain people have a disposition for conspiracies which mirror their own inner psychology. And conspiracy can be a big motivator.
These aren’t bad people when all said and done (in most cases), some are driven by ego, others by a cult of personality and then some have the discernment ability a rusty old doorknob. The problem is when one or two people are waging a campaign to discredit people such as Elizondo, Mellon, Cahill etc, they often are not objective in their efforts. Essentially, they manipulate the facts to their own narrative in efforts to derail progress. Rather than checking sources and confirming already available data, they cherry pick information and exaggerate small inconsistencies to make it appear it is representative of the whole when it isn’t.
Nobody is claiming these UFOs are ‘aliens’, at least not at this point. What people in government are claiming is that there is a serious threat to national security posed by the unknown intentions and radical technological ability of these objects. And that does deserve the attention of Congress.
It is difficult to know exactly what Congress has been briefed on, what they have seen and heard from who. But what we do know is that whatever was briefed was enough to make Politicians sit up take notice and openly risk their reputation for a highly stigmatised issue. UFOs don’t get you votes, but they seemingly do need to be dealt with.
We need to get past this self-entitled version of Ufology and have the government take accountability of UFOs – as what is no starting to happen with the hearings.
So is this a conspiracy? Have a few small few somehow managed to influence the media and Congress into believing in little Green men?
Let take a deeper look at how ridiculous that sentiment actually is.
What Conspiracy Theorists think happened with UFOs and Congress: A handy guide to a Psy-Op.
For this conspiracy to be true we need to consider the following points. We need to understand the enormity of just how that would have to play out. Here is a handy bullet point guide to walk us step by step into what would have occurred.
1. Trick Senators Harry Reid, Ted Steven’s and Daniel Inouye to believing in UFOs so they will secretly fund a program in DIA.
2. Establish AAWSAP program with zero evidence.
3. Falsify documents and 10 month report into UFOs and, for no logistical reason at all, make up bizarre stories about a haunted ranch.
4. Follow through and trick Senators that with tabloid stories and George Knapp’s book claiming there are Space-Ghosts and Bigfoot’s on a ranch in Utah.
5. Trick Senator Reid, again without evidence, into acknowledging a second smaller program – AATIP – to look into UFOs and military cases – when clearly these objects don’t exist.
6. Hire a guy to not really work for AATIP as director – but forge paperwork to say he did anyways. Have the program run officially and get it confirmed, but deny parts of it before all of it. Have it’s contractors lie to confirm the program.
7. Pretend to DoD that these objects exist. Then when DoD see through the sham that you have no evidence, have an actor quit and go to the most prestigious anti-UFO news outlet possible. Find some ‘UFO journalists’ who can’t be trusted to vet sources and have them run the AATIP story and hope the editors are having an off day.
8. Make sure you don’t mention AAWSAP – because the government will try to ‘cover it up’ despite no one probably believing it anyways.
9. Hope that the New York Times somehow confirms the story with your ‘plant’ in the Public Affairs Office and then hope the journalist for Politico is also incompetent when vetting sources. Also then hope he gets the same result from PAO despite the program never existing.
10. Get the fake AATIP story released with cooked up ‘UFO’ videos that are simply misidentified planes and drones.
11. Then, because the New York Times has run the story in the mainstream, hope that more gullible Senators fall for it and don’t ask for real evidence like most people would instantly as their first question. Again, doing all this without providing any real data because – UFOs don’t exist – it’s all misunderstood natural phenomena and distant planes.
12. Once again, trick the gullible Congressional oversight committees into having briefings – that are faked with blurry videos and who have no real data beside stories.
13. Somehow get the DoD to confirm – after full investigation – that the UFOs videos were classified as ‘unidentified’. Maybe have a ‘plant’ in place for that as might be tricky to swing it. Also, navigate the cunning Garry Reid and his deputy who are fighting for honest truth.
14. Have gullible Congress and Navy write legislation to allow pilots to identify those objects through official reporting channels – objects which aren’t really UFOs but misidentified planes.
15. Have multiple Navy pilots fake UFOs accounts and go public. If can’t be faked, find the susceptible pilots who think they saw something but didn’t really because UFOs aren’t real.
16. Fly multiple drones 100 miles of the coast of America to swarm navy ships – make sure that ‘plants’ are in place with Bokeh lense flare cameras to film objects to pass off as UFOs. Make sure you lie to UFO researchers about the objects to help with the hoax.
17. Feed the faked drone narrative back to congress as UFOs to maintain the hoax.
18. Trick congress into creating a UFO task force with faked Bokeh videos and blurry distant planes – that only Mick West could be able to debunk.
19. Have multiple Directors from CIA, DNI, DoD, Presidents and Senators confirm that this is all real. Have them brought in as part of the UFO scam – if they can’t be bought threaten their reputations or something.
20. Trick Congress again into creating legislation for a new UFO office – all the while not providing a shred of evidence – again, hope they don’t ask for something more substantial.
21. Influence bi-partisan congressional support for the most stigmatised subject ever in a way which might destroy their careers – again – with no actual evidence because they don’t exist.
22. When the DoD don’t abide with legislation – trick congress into holding hearings to demand accountability for something which doesn’t exist.
23. Sit back and reap the rewards of ….increased funding…?
Yeah. Not at all crazy.
